Chocolate Baking Products: product recall

The NSW Food Authority advises:

Anchor Foods Pty Ltd is recalling batches of their imported chocolate baking products sold in NSW and interstate in Cash & Carry and IGA supermarkets.

The batches are being recalled because they contain sesame without the required declaration on the label. Sesame is an allergen for some people.

The recalled batches are:

  • Spencers Cocoa Powder in 500g cellophane sachet, with ‘best before’ dates up to and including 5 OCT 2013
  • IGA Signature Chocolate Cake mix in 500g cardboard box, with ‘best before’ dates 22 NOV 12 and 12 DEC 2012
  • IGA Signature Fudge Brownie Mix in 500g cardboard box, with ‘best before’ dates 21 AUG 2012 and 21 NOV 2012
  • IGA Signature Chocolate Baby Cake Mix in 300g cardboard box, with ‘best before’ dates 29 NOV 2012 and 15 DEC 2012

The recall applies only to the above batches and dates of the products.

Consumers with an allergy or intolerance to sesame should not consume the products.

Consumers can return the products to the place of purchase for a refund.
