Metal pieces found in pre-packed meat and frozen products

Queensland Police are investigating complaints of distinctive pieces of metal found in uncooked pre-packed meat and frozen products at Coles, Bi-Lo and Woolworths stores.

The products were sold at four supermarkets in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.

Queensland Health, as a precaution, is advising anyone who purchases meat and other frozen products to be alert for any metal objects and to be vigilant when preparing and consuming these products.

Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
