General Circular 03/2020 - Change to auditing arrangements for vulnerable persons licensees due to coronavirus
An important update from the NSW Food Authority for all licensees serving food to vulnerable persons in NSW.
Change to auditing arrangements for vulnerable persons licensees due to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The NSW Food Authority is responding to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak by temporarily suspending all audits of vulnerable persons licensees.
To ensure that audits conducted by NSW Food Authority officers and Third Party Auditors (TPA) do not pose a contamination risk to vulnerable persons, auditing arrangements will cease for the next 60 days. Licensed facilities should ensure they continue to operate in compliance with their Food Safety Programs during this period to ensure records are available when auditing re-commences.
The NSW Food Authority will continue to monitor the current situation and Public Health Unit guidelines, and when the situation changes, provide notification to all licensed facilities when they can commence booking their audits again.
