Solve kitchen crimes at the 2021 Sydney Royal Easter Show
It’s Royal Easter Show time and we invite you to learn all about food safety at the NSW Food Authority kitchen crimes stand in the Food Farm, open 9am - 7pm every day from 1-12 April.
Grab the kids and use your detective skills to identify poor food handling and hygiene habits that may cause little ‘Barry’ and ‘Sally’ to get food poisoning.
Move through interactive ‘crime zones’ and get the kids to take home a Junior FSI Squad Bag so they can continue their detective work at home.
The ‘crime zones’ will help visitors to:
- Learn about the golden rules of food safety
- Identify a contaminated kitchen scene
- Identify the guilty offenders in a fridge ‘line up’
- Choose the correct scenario in the crime lab
- Get a close-up view of nasty bacteria.
Food Authority staff will be on hand to provide food safety advice and answer questions by future detectives.
