Product information: Leo's Imports & Distributors Pty Ltd are conducting a recall of Sapori Soft Almond Amaretti Biscuits 175g. The product has been available for sale in independent retail outlets in NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT and TAS, and online in NSW and VIC.
Date markings: Best Before 02/05/26 & 25/08/26
Problem: The recall is due to a biotoxin - higher than usual levels of naturally occurring hydrocyanic acid.
Food safety hazard: Food products with higher than usual levels of naturally occurring hydrocyanic acid may cause illness if consumed.
What to do: Consumers should not eat this product. Consumers should return the product(s) to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
